The Coconut Board established the International Coconut Shell Museum during the Diamond Jubilee Year to illustrate the evolution of the coconut shell industry through historical events and progress. Kerala Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy inaugurated the International Museum at Coir Board Complex in Karaval on 27 May 2014. The museum is now open to the public. The museum is a favorite on the Alleppey tourist map. Come to World of Coir, which provides information on the origins and development of the industry, as well as the latest in research and development. This will leave a good memory in the coconut industry. The museum allows visitors to see various coconut crafts, coconut fiber doors, coconut fiber decorations, etc. It is equipped with a souvenir shop where you can purchase items.
