Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is one of the most popular bird watching places in the country. Many rare birds can be found in these areas of over 14 hectares. On the banks of Vembanad Lake in Kottayam, you can see various birds migrating from places like the Himalayas to Siberia. See more of the rarely seen sight. This is the breeding season for wetland birds such as perch, little cormorant, many species of egrets and herons, white ibises, and many species of kingfishers. You may also see waterfowl, cuckoos, owls, teals, cranes, parrots, teals, larks, flycatchers and treehoppers. The boat tour around the sanctuary is relaxing and this is one of the most visited in Kottayam region. The reserve is located on the banks of Vembanad Lake and is a favorite haunt of migratory birds such as Siberian storks, egrets, eels, herons and teal. Located on the banks of the Vembanad River and covering an area of ​​14 hectares, it is a beautiful place for rare birds.
