Kuruvadweep or Kuruvadweep Island is a protected water delta covering 950 acres (3.8 km2). It consists of three uninhabited forests and some underwater islands located on the banks of the Kabini River in Wayanad District in the Indian state of Kerala. This is a deserted island and home to rare birds, orchids, plants and more. That is, endemic plant species. Its unique geographical features make this place not only green, but also quiet and lush. It has become a popular destination as the nearest town is 16.7 kilometers away. It has recently been chosen as the most visited place in the region by international tourists. Managed by the forest department, the island is home to many animal and plant species and is one of the most popular places in Wayanad.
